Work is currently underway, to identify current knowledge of silage making in the UK and help determine best practice for silage making for AD. As part of this work, a survey has been created to obtain a better understanding of how silage making affects the quality of different crop silages and their subsequent biogas yields when used in anaerobic digestion.
WRAP have launched a video that will help more farmers use anaerobic digestate as a renewable fertiliser. It provides practical advice for farmers and agronomists on how to maximise the supply of nutrients to crops, and how this can be balanced with standard fertilisers.
