The next Biogas Sector Group meeting will be delivered in conjunction with the Organics Recycling Group. It was felt that since the meeting will be so close to the General Election, there is little chance that Government officials will agree to attend it and give a policy update. For this reason, we are planning a different format for this meeting. While still giving a short update on energy policy developments, this meeting will be mainly focused on regulatory updates (from Europe and the UK) and practical, operational and regulatory issues faced by AD companies when developing and operating AD plants.
Key topics will include (but not be limited to):
⢠Business rates and how these may affect your business
⢠The EAâÂÂs requirements for bunding and containment of AD sites
⢠The EAâÂÂs consultation on landspreading and digestate storage
⢠The EAâÂÂs ongoing desk-top screening assessment at all sites that they regulate.
