ORG Health & Safety Survey Quarter 4 2014

Results are now available from our latest health & safety survey of the organic waste industry, these cover the last quarter of 2014. Whilst these results are on first sight less than encouraging, it is possible to identify several factors that could account for the increase in the all accident incidence rate. One company reported an unusually high number of accidents, a company that had always supported these surveys with a comparatively high number of employees and typically a low number of accidents has gone into administration and not submitted a return.  Two other companies who also submitted regular reports with low accident numbers but high numbers of employees have also not submitted reports.  These factors have combined to distort the results of this survey when compared to background figures.
