The Renewable Energy Association (REA) and the International Biogas and Bioenergy Center of Competence (IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas) are delighted to announce a 5-day long in-depth Biogas Training Course, which is seperated in two parts which can be booked seperately or together. The course will be delivered by biogas experts from Germany and UK with many years of practical experience in the biogas sector.

Topics of Part 1: Practical Digester Biology
  • Overview of the Biogasindustry in Europe and UK and its future development
  • Fundamentals of biological process
  • Choosing the right substrate
  • Insitu process control and trouble shooting
  • Measurement for process optimisation, stabilisation and enhancement of the biogas process
  • Interactive group session
  • Necessary laboratory tests & practical interpretation of operating modes using examples from practice
  • Practical experiences & lessons from operating a biowaste and food waste plant
  • Process parameters
  • Introduction to Operator training, monitoring, commissioning & maintenance
  • Practical excercises on process engineering and substrate selection
  • ½ - day study tour
