EA technical guidance on BAT for composting and AD

The EA have drafted additional guidance notes for biowaste treatment installations and waste operations that require permits under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010 (EPR 2010) and The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales ) Amendment) Regulations 2013. 

They set out, both for operators and regulators, indicative Best Available Technique (BAT) or appropriate measures (environmental standards of operation) for the aerobic composting and thermophilic aerobic digestion (TAD) of biodegradable wastes and a separate document for the anaerobic digestion (AD) of biodegradable wastes.
