Latest proposed structure for Waste Treatment BREF


The WT BREF TWG (which includes REA) have just received the latest format for the Waste Treatment BREF. You can download it HERE.


Please let us know whether you think this layout would work better than the one that was circulated for comment in August. Feedback should be given to us by Thursday 19 December (07717 294793, kiara@r-e-a.net).


UK will comment back on 20 December to the EU about the structure. Many of the comments sent back to the EU by Member States asked for a simplification of the structure, to make it easier to use the BREF.  Hence the reason for EU to change the layout completely to what it was before.

EU have set themselves a date to finish and there is little flexibility to change, they have already moved some deadlines to include this major revamp of the structure.
